Back to School: Transitioning from Middle to High School

This is an exciting time for children. They are ready to begin their selected courses and are looking forward to new responsibilities and activities. At least, they should be! What if this is not the case?

Here are 3 parenting tips that can help:                                                                                 *Equip your child with the necessary technology and the skills needed to be productive.    If the child needs a coach or mentor, invest in one!

*Encourage your child to set both short and long-term goals. Be sure to include a reward system as part of this process.

*Expect your child to be successful in fulfilling his responsibilities. Having a positive attitude, and a direction or purpose for the new school year will yield successful results. “Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.”-John F. Kennedy
