It’s Game Time!

Whether you are a fan of March Madness basketball or not, one thing is for certain.
The team that is mentally and physically prepared to go the distance will be the one
to succeed.

With spring, also comes spring fever. And for many school-age children this is often
a time when they will struggle to maintain academic focus and motivation.
This is why I feel it is important for parents to continue to encourage and support
their children so that they can complete the school year on a positive note.

I believe attitude determines altitude. And children who experience success,
have a better chance of starting the new school year motivated with excitement and purpose.

Therefore, I suggest that parents review previously set goals with their child,
acknowledging the hard work that has already been demonstrated, and reviewing the
goals or areas that may still need additional work, support, or encouragement.

By involving the child in this process, he will be able to see the progress he has made,
and be encouraged to stay the course and finish strong. After all, finishing strong
is a life lesson of persistence. And persistence is the key to success.
